LAW 906 OF 2004 – Expert Evidence, Article 406. Provision of Expert Services:
Expert services shall be provided by specialists from the judicial police, the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences, public or private entities, and individuals specialized in the relevant field. Investigations and analyses shall be carried out by one or more experts, depending on the case. The report must be signed by all parties involved in the sections corresponding to their participation. All experts are required to issue their findings under oath.
