Law 906 of 2004 – Expert Evidence, Article 406. Provision of Expert Services. Expert services shall be provided by specialists from the Judicial Police, the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences, public or private entities, and private professionals specialized in the relevant field. Investigations or analyses shall be carried out by one or more experts, as appropriate. The report shall be signed by all those who participated in the portion corresponding to their work. All experts must issue their opinions under oath.
